Welding in Teach

An ideal way to test your job and part weld quality is a function known as “Weld in Teach”. Not only will this function test the path of your job, but will engage a live arc based on your job’s weld parameters.

While in teach, you can engage {TEST START}. This function will allow you to run forward through a job to viewing the taught path of the robot. By default, this will not engage the arc of the welding equipment.

The Arc can be energized when selecting the “Enable Welder” switch on the TEST/RUN JOB panel.

When you Test Start your job, a live arc will weld the part as taught by the user. The robot will continue to move at reduced air-cut speed based on the Functional Safety Unit (FSU) settings.

Make sure to use proper Personal Protection Equipment and safety practices when working around a live welding arc and moving robot.
